Bernard Piprah, MA, RCC #16789
About Bernard
I’m Bernard Kwame Piprah (he/him), a first generation Canadian born to Jamaican and Ghanaian parents in British Columbia, Canada. For the last 15 years I’ve worked across various not-for-profit, provincial government and CRF organizations including Fraser Health Authority, First Nations Health Authority, Community Living BC- in the field of mental health.
I take a lot of pride in being a part of a more “representative wave” of mental health practitioners in my corner of the universe. Using my skills and training to support people in processing, recovering and improving from wide-range of circumstances is my calling. I believe real strength comes from increasing your self-awareness, developing healthier coping habits, improving relationships and much more we can work on together.
My presence, therapeutic approaches and communication-style promotes engagement, participation and retention – even from those skeptical of psychotherapy. I meet clients where they are at, provide a safe space to talk and employ different modalities to improve their quality of life.
